Celebration of Colors
Council meeting on Tuesday, March 24 at 9:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers, City Hall (177 – 1st Avenue N.E.). Please use the door located on the corner of 1st Avenue N.E. and Chaplin Street. This door will lead you into the Council Chambers.

Good morning, Your worship and “Members of the Council.”
My team includes myself Edith Gibbings (introduce other board members) and library staff Hilary Stark, Jennifer Watson and Margaret Lottridge.
Thank you for the opportunity to present the proclamation for the “Celebration of Colors” for the week of March 29 - April 4.
During this week library staff will organize puppet shows in schools. A special family event is organized on Saturday, March 28 from 2-4 pm. Ten activity centers will be set up all around the library. Linda and Dawn are taking care of ‘Rainbow Spooling’ station. Lorraine is taking care of crayon rubbing, coins from around the world and impressions centre. Ching is setting up a Double Happiness Chinese way of communicating love, origami and colored paper structures. Margaret is taking care of Wheels of Colors, pinwheels and seed mosaics crafts. Jennifer will do face painting. Manisha will play at the Imagination Station. Loretta is responsible for the play dough activity centre. Multicolored cookies presented by Hilary.
Tekeyla is bringing in the cultural touch with pangolins or designs. She is using colors from India, dress-up in East Indian clothes photo booth, and try a colored bindi on your forehead.
